Conditions of Snaffle Bit Jackpot Cutting- Gdi Campdraft programme.
Cotton Country Cutting Club Inc (CCCC) Snaffle Bit jackpot event is to be held in conjunction with Goondiwindi Campdraft Oct 4 & 5 2019 at Goondiwindi Showgrounds.

  1. Snaffle Bit competition is open to any breed of horse to compete.
  2. The event will be one class staged over two nights under lights in CCCC cutting arena Starting time approx. 6pm. (cattle settled at 5:30pm)
    This is an unaffiliated cutting to be run under Snaffle Bit class NCHA Rules – Refer to Rulebook pg 9. NCHA Aust website www.ncha.com.au 2019 Rule book reads:
    The Snaffle Bit is a one- or two-handed contest,open to all riders who have not won $3000 NCHA Aust lifetime earnings (excluding age events).
    Horses may be shown using one or 2 hands on snaffle bridle reins.
    Snaffle bits are to be a min of 10mm and have a smooth single jointed mouthpiece.
    Hackamore or bosals (with no metal parts) are also allowed to use.
    Not allowed equipment includes – twisted wire SB, Gag snaffles, Shank snaffles or martingales (rings/tie downs). Professional trainers will be eligible to compete in SB classes as long as they have NOT won $3000 in NCHA lifetime earnings.
    Monies earned in SB classes (excluding age events) will be applied to all future NCHA classes. Once a horse/rider combination who is eligible to compete in SB class compete in a NON PRO class or NOVICE/OPEN class, the rider/horse combination are NO longer able to compete in SB classes.
    The burden of PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY WILL BE ON THE COMPETITOR.
    A competitor may borrow a horse.Limit of 2 horses/competitor in this class. All other dress/ equipment as per NCHA Rule book Rule #16 pg 98eg Hats, long sleeve shirts, are to be worn to compete.Leggings (no chinks)& breast plates optional and Stock Saddles are permitted in NCHA SB class only.
  3. All Nominations will then be Open from Septmeber 16th and close September 27th at 5pm.

    5.Draws for SB will be available on www.gdicutting.com.au website on Tuesday Oct 1st by 5pm
    6.After the draws have been completed on Oct 1st -NO REFUNDS TO $75 ENTRIES
    7.Total cost to compete is $36entry + Cartage $22 + $17 office(includes $7 NCHA insurance levy)Total payable $75
    Jackpot Payouts are NCHA sliding scale system (over 21 entries) Pay 6 places. All payouts quoted on 60 entries – PAYOUTS WILL CHANGE WITH LESS ENTRIES
    8.Stables and camping payable to Gdi Campdraft club
    9.All competitors must submit Bio security form with online entry to CCCC
